Facing Growing Threats, Space Industry Expands Its Cyber Warning Center

Space Information Sharing and Analysis Center (ISAC) was originally founded in Colorado Springs, Colorado about five years ago. The company recently announced that they are expanding to the United Kingdom and other American allies as the cyber threat around the world rapidly grows. The expansion into the U.K. comes because of the war with Ukraine, and the space cyber vulnerabilities that have been exposed. Space ISAC also have agreements in place to partner with Australia (AUKUS framework) and plans to expand to Japan and South Korea. The move is also strategic because now the center can operate without having to assign U.S. based analysts’ overnight shifts. This new branch will give Space ISAC the ability to share critical data with local law enforcement and partners which strengthens global space security.
