Space Force extends Kratos’ contract

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions has been awarded an 8-year, $579 million contract extension by the U.S. Space Force to provide technical services supporting the ground systems of U.S. military communications satellites. The contract extends Kratos’ work on the Command-and-Control System-Consolidated Sustainment and Resiliency (C-SAR) program, which it has held since 2002. Under the contract, Kratos will maintain and develop ground systems for satellites including the Defense Satellite Communications System, Milstar, Advanced Extremely High Frequency, and Wideband Global SATCOM systems. The systems provide planning, processing and information assurance for existing constellations and will support integration of future satellites. The contract covers operations for 26 military communication satellites across 4 constellations. Work will occur at Schriever Space Force Base, Vandenberg Space Force Base, and Peterson Space Force Base. The extended contract runs through November 2031.
